About

I’m an award-nominated choreographer, movement director and performer, and the co-creator of SAY alongside Yukiko Masui. Together, we make high-energy dance work rooted in authenticity, musicality and the joy of moving.

I’m passionate about fusing movement and music, and I often work closely with musicians. I’ve creatively collaborated with Lisa Canny (Biird) for Luail (National Dance Company of Ireland), and with Mercury Prize winners Dave Okumu and ESKA. I’ve also choreographed for artists including Tom Rasmussen, Le Gateau Chocolat, Kele Le Roc and Stush. My choreographic work is proudly supported by The Roundhouse, The Place and DanceEast.

My path has taken me from touring the world with STOMP to creating work across contemporary dance and musical theatre. I’ve worked with companies and creatives I deeply admire, including Jamie Lloyd, National Theatre, Shed (New York), and the team behind Romeo & Juliet starring Tom Holland (SAY). I was also nominated for a British Black Theatre Award for my movement direction on the West End production of Cruise.

I trained at Trinity Laban (BA + MA with Transitions Dance Company) and, alongside STOMP, have performed with Lîla Dance, the Royal Court, Bang Bang Bang Group and SAY. As a choreographer, I’ve created work for Luail, BalletBoyz, Phoenix Dance Theatre Maiden Voyage and MAP

I’ve choreographed and movement-directed productions ranging from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Tokyo & London) to Wizard of Oz (Watermill Theatre) and KENREX (Sheffield Theatres, The Other Palace, southwark Playhouse). I also regularly work with Mountview, Urdang, LAMDA, Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and Trinity Laban.

I’m incredibly proud of SAY — the company I created with Yukiko. What began as hanging out in the studio has grown into movement directing for Jamie Lloyd and creating a full suite of works under the title the album. These pieces have toured internationally and continue to evolve, including our family show the album: skool edition, which has been touring to schools and festivals for four years. We’re now excited to be developing our next work, Hot in Her/e.
